Let the clients speak.

“Training with Sam isn’t about being bossed in the gym, he doesn’t make you feel under pressure, but also makes sure your not slacking!

My main goal was fat loss, and I lost 5 stone with Sam, through weekly gym sessions, and regular reviews.

Sam is really easy to get along with, he’s not just a PT, but a bit of a life coach too, it’s not always eat less and move more. Sometimes there are other things in the way of progress.”

“Sam took time to get to know me as a person through sensitive questioning and listening.

He makes a point of contacting me in between sessions to check in on how my week is going and offers advice and support whenever I need it.

Most important to me is Sam’s holistic approach to training his clients. He ensures that he supports me emotionally as well as physically. Keeping me motivated through positive reinforcement.

He allows me to take control of my own journey through planning achievable steps towards my long term goals.

He is comfortable to train with, which enables me to be open and honest about where I am at, and where I want to be. My strength both physically and emotionally continues to grow and so does my confidence.

I met Sam almost 2 years ago & since then I have not only made progress in my fitness journey but in other areas of my life.

Sam is more than a PT, he is a life coach, a friend & someone I trust greatly. He has a varied range of clients and would be happy to recommend him to anyone regardless of their goals, as Sam has successfully adapted programmes to each of our individual needs.

I personally can’t thank him enough for the time, effort & patience he gives & I look forward to seeing how my fitness journey continues to move forward under his guidance

“Sam doesn’t just focus on the physical, but helps you understand how your body and mind work and how they interact in your own life.

He is encouraging, supportive and available. I thought I would be with him for a few months but I’m still here four years later because my life is so much better than it was and I continue to improve and achieve. I’ve faced and overcome many fears and I lost 2.5 stone”

“I have been working with Sam for two years and have made steady progress with both strength and general fitness.

Sam listens and builds up the work rate and routines in a measured way, so that you know you are working hard but not too hard to result in injuries.

If you want to recover your fitness or just slowly build up to improved levels, I would recommend you contact Sam to get cracking, immediately.

I started training with Sam because I was that stereotype – the person with a gym membership I wasn’t using. On the rare occasions I did go to the gym, I stayed on the cross trainer or exercise bike – too self conscious to venture to other machines or god forbid the weights area!

Sam took time to understand what my goals and motivations were. In addition to addressing my general (poor) fitness, I wanted to lose weight to improve my chance of conceiving. Sam made me realise I wasn’t after a quick fix – that I would have to put in the work to make sustainable changes to my day-to-day life. He took everything into account before drawing up my first program – my starting point, strengths and weaknesses, my family, work and social life, and that holistic approach is what ensured it was exactly right for me.

Eight months on and I have been surprised by how much I enjoy the training. I actively look forward to my PT sessions because Sam regularly changes things up, knows exactly when I need to move up a notch and he’s also just great company! He is so invested in his clients progress – I feel like my success is his success and he is genuinely so pleased when I improve or reach a milestone. And just as importantly, if I’m having an off day, he helps me get to the bottom of why and offers exactly the right brand of encouragement.

I don’t think I can over emphasise how instrumental Sam has been in changing my life over the past year. Without him, not only would I not have stuck to the changes I’ve made – I’d have had no idea what I needed to do in the first place! I have dropped dress sizes, lost weight and even managed to conceive after years of disappointment. But the thing I’m most grateful for is his unstinting support and the confidence he has given me to feel like I can do things I never imagined I could – take up running, lift weights in the gym on my own, complete a physical assault course! I’m so thankful and would recommend his services to anyone who is ready and willing to make a change – he is a one off and you won’t regret it 🙂

I was about to turn 40 and I decided to join a gym, with no aim other than to “get in shape” –  I didn’t even know what that really meant.  I was too self conscious to enter the free weights area thinking I didn’t belong there and I wouldn’t have known what to do when I got there anyway!

I spoke to Sam, discussing what I wanted to achieve and we broke it down into measurable goals.  He helped me realise I should aim for steady progress by making realistic changes to my lifestyle and not make wholesale changes that would be unsustainable, no quick fixes!

Over our sessions he taught me how to use the equipment and was instrumental in me gaining confidence – I was no longer self conscious in the gym!

What I didn’t realise when I started to train with Sam was the amount of support he would give me outside our time in the gym.  He is proactive,  getting in touch to see how you are getting on and makes himself available to resolve problems as they arise.  He is a great sounding board and always has time to listen.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sam.  Not only am I fitter now at 45 than I have ever been since leaving university, I’ve lost 4 inches around my waist and got considerably stronger.

I have more confidence that my body is physically capable of doing more challenging things and Sam has had a lot to do with that.  After all he convinced me that I was able to jump out of an aeroplane with him, something I wouldn’t have dreamt of doing before. (don’t worry this isn’t compulsory)
